Reignite the fire in your team

The hottest team development day returns in the Summer of 2021. Are you ready to fire up your team?

THE team building day for 2021 with added spice

The Chill Farm Team Building Day is the go-to team development experience for businesses that want to develop their people with activities far removed from anything you’ve ever done before. Expect us to make your Chilli themed team development day unforgettable with challenging, yet fun activities that will build teamwork and leadership in your people.

With your teams having worked remotely for over 12 months, The Chilli Farm Team Building Day is a great way to welcome your team back together, away from the office with a day built around the needs of your business and most importantly, your people.

One of the unique features of our Chilli Farm Team Building Day is the bespoke nature of the day itself. After an initial diagnostic call with you, your organisation and team, we’ll build a day that makes sure you maximise the time you have with your team, and accomplish the objectives of the day.

The tailored team development day built around your team

Helping reconnect remotely working teams

Whilst working patterns may have changed forever, one thing is sure, your people working together as a team is critical to your business success. Therefore reconnecting your teams in a safe manner over the summer is the best way to rekindle the fire in your teams that have been working remotely over the last year.

The fact you’re researching ways to engage and develop your people means you’re an employer that values your people. Our Chilli Farm Team Building Day builds on that great work you’ve done with fun exercises and challenges to get them working even better as a team.

Improve and build on team dynamics
Reward your people with a fun team development experience
While the output from the Chill Farm Team Building Day is a serious one, the day itself should be an opportunity to reward the people that have helped support you and your customers. Feedback from previous attendees is that the day was the perfect mix of fun, learning and development.

How will the Chilli Farm Team Building Experience fire up your team?

The team at Bidwells were wanting to develop their leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. All of these are important attributes to their organisation. There was also the fact that the graduates from Scotland desired to meet with graduates from other Bidwells offices across England.
The bespoke and tailored approach means the outcomes of the day are discussed and designed collaboratively between Malcolm and your team. All you need to bring is your team and a desire to learn and have fun!

How do we get your team fired up?

While the output from the Chill Farm Team Building Day is a serious one, the day itself should be an opportunity to reward the people that have helped support you and your customers. Feedback from previous attendees is that the day was the perfect mix of fun, learning and development.

1. Diagnostic call with your organisation and team

Prior to your team building day, we have a diagnostics call with your organisation and team. We discuss: What’s working well? What is not working so well? and What needs to be better? This means the day and overall experience is designed to meet your team outcomes. We’ll tailor the day to focus on the key challenges your team is facing, with a range of fun exercises that will ultimately deliver the transformation and collaboration you are looking for.

2. Prepare the structure of the day

We’ll create a personalised and tailored Programme outline for you and your team to meet your outcomes. This will be shared with your team and organisation for approval prior to the day itself. The Chilli Farm Team Building day is delivered at a delightful nursery in Bedfordshire. The farm has featured on numerous TV Programmes and owner Joanna has been named “Best Chilli Grower UK” on multiple occasions.

3. The team building day itself

Facilitator Malcolm Taylor will introduce and lead team building and developmental exercises based on your outcomes for the day. As a fully qualified coach and Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (NLP) Practitioner, Malcolm will lead exercises that will improve your team dynamics and meet your objectives and outcomes. With Malcolm’s training and development knowledge and Joanna’s Chilli knowledge, you’ll have a team building experience like no other.

4. Follow-up from the day

A few weeks subsequent to your Chilli Farm Team Building day, Malcolm will follow up with your team and organisation to discuss how your learning and development has been put into practice. This follow-up can be virtual or in-house depending on your unique experience.

How we helped fire up the Bidwells team

The team at Bidwells were wanting to develop their leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. All of these are important attributes to their organisation. There was also the fact that the graduates from Scotland desired to meet with graduates from other Bidwells offices across England.

Our appoach

During the diagnostic session, Bidwells and Malcolm collaboratively identified several learning outcomes which would be part of the Chilli Farm Team Building Day.

Working towards outcomes

Bidwells thought this could be very applicable to their work, especially when trying to win business. By thinking about how we want the client to see, hear and feel about our meeting, research can be planned around the desired end result.

Asking open questions

When speaking to clients, understand fully what they wish to achieve from the outset. Furthermore to not be hesitant in bouncing ideas off colleagues in our offices or even other divisions to get a different perception on how best to approach work to get the best possible outcome for our clients.

The Importance of rapport building

Building working relationships and how effective relationships in a working situation and assists in tricky situations – particularly within rural surveying when speaking with tenants, purchasers/solicitors, contractors and estate workers.

Feedback not failure

Realising that ‘negative’ feedback can be turned positive.

The outcome

The outcome was an experience that was not only fun, but allowed the team to meet their learning outcomes. Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills were all developed in an enjoyable and relaxed environment. The team got a lot out of the day and found it very beneficial.
“The day offered an excellent opportunity to meet our colleagues from Scotland”

“The look on everyone’s faces during the chilli eating workshop (especially Mark and Matt after the Naga chilli!)”

“Designing a brilliant chilli product that tasted great, working with people from different offices across the country and particularly meeting the Scottish Graduates – which we wouldn’t have otherwise done.”
